HP Pavilion Aero 13 Review in Details–

A Lighter Case

The 2021 Pavilion Aero 13 uses the same magnesium-aluminum alloy as its predecessors for the outer cover and the keyboard deck. However, there are still some major changes noted in the overall design. The bezels seem narrower and the edges and the corners are sharper and flatter. The click pad is larger and has a refined appearance. The overall weight has been lowered by 200g to create a travel-friendly system.

Hardware

HP Pavilion Aero 13

With much focus on making the model as light and thin as possible while still offering a decent amount of connectivity and power, this device packs a 16:10 display. It comes with a pair of USB-A ports with kick-out covers, a single USB-C socket, and HDMI-out alongside a barrel power connector. The build quality is solid with no creaks or flex. The only issue noted is with the bezel hinge which comes across as a little bit less sturdy as expected.

Display, Webcam, and Sound

The 16:10 1200p matte display promises a high contrast ratio and well-defined colors. The gray-gray and black-white response times are slightly quicker in comparison to the 2020 Pavilion 13 model. The high-quality panel on a budget model series is actually quite surprising. The 400-nit panel can balance strong summer light.

The B&O-branded speakers placed underneath the edges of the laptop deck provide acceptable audio. They sound better than on some ultrabooks. The HP WideVision 720p camera is sharp enough that people can see your face properly when you are using it. Also, it handles most light well enough.

Software Specifications

What is noteworthy in this latest model is that HP has pre-installed several apps into it including ExpressVPN, LastPass, and McAfee. This implies that you will start receiving popups soon after installing Chrome on your device about the plug-ins.

Performance and Battery Life

HP Pavilion Aero 13

Both Intel and AMD have made enormous changes in developing integrated graphics units to suit ultrabooks where portability and thinness are pretty much desired. This laptop promises quite a pleasant performance while performing a wide variety of tasks from intensive browsing to playing video games.

The Aero 13 2021 includes AMD’s Ryzen 5800U with Radeon Integrated Graphics. The 16 GB RAM and 512 GB SSD make it pretty much a high-end specification than you can expect for the amount you are paying for this model. Though the model has not been designed for intensive gaming, it is worth every penny you pay. You can play Fortnite pretty smoothly on this device by setting the Graphics to Medium.

The battery is pretty much resilient with the machine clocking about 9 hours and 43 minutes in a standard rundown test. The overall power consumption is lower than the previous model which is quite impressive considering that the Ryzen 7 processor is almost 50 percent faster in multi-threaded applications.

HP Pavilion Aero 13 Review – Final Verdict

The 2021 Pavilion 13 has evolved considerably from its early days to look like a prosumer model. Most of its physical features have been inspired by the Spectre and Envy series. The new 16:10 aspect ratio renders a touch of professionalism that has not yet been noted on a few competing models such as the Dell Inspiron 13 or the Asus VivoBook S13.

The Aero 13 2021 is all about premium display quality, portability, and processor performance. The system houses the fastest U-series for performance levels thereby outpacing the most expensive Spectre 13 laptop. Overall, the HP PavilionAero 13 is a great machine with a thin, solid, and light body that promises impeccable performance to the users.
