Norman Reedus Hints Another Death Stranding Game Could Be In Development

Although official confirmation is yet to be made, Norman Reedus, the star of The Walking Dead, dropped a hint that a Death Stranding sequel could be on its way.

Though nothing has been confirmed by the Japanese video game maker, Hideo Kojima, rumors are already doing rounds that its adventure game could make a comeback.

The Walking Dead actor, Norman Reedus, on whom the game’s lead protagonist Sam Bridges is modeled on, hinted in his latest interview that another game in the same universe could be in the making.

Norman in an interview with AdoroCinema said that “I think we’re doing a second Death Stranding”. He further added that “Death Stranding 2 is in negotiations right now”.

Though much has not been revealed in his latest Portuguese interview and considering the fact that auto-translations are not always accurate, we will have to wait for them to make an official confirmation. As of now, we can only take it as rumor.

This news could potentially be huge news for Death Stranding fans. However, we need to wait for the official confirmations.

It is also not clear if Reedus was possibly referring to the Director’s Cut version of Death Stranding, which is set to release in the month of September this year.

This exchange was reported by IGN Brazil and took place during a roundtable discussion about the 11th season of The Walking Dead. This is not the first time that the actor has revealed spoilers or made an announcement for any upcoming project.

He has done it on several occasions and also went onto reveal the spoilers for the season 10 finale the previous year. However, his subtle hint lines up with the announcements from developers Kojima Productions that they are working on a new game.

Director Hideo Kojima has also mentioned that he is working on his next project that will include ‘societal elements’. He also previously expressed his desire to be sure that any Death Stranding sequel will come up with a new storyline and gameplay.

However, nothing can be said as of now whether we will have a new season of The Walking Dead or now.

Sony recently gave a sneak peek into the gameplay footage from Death Stranding: Director’s Cut which will be launched on 24th September. This expanded version adds new combat mechanics, story missions, racing mode, and a firing range too.

PS4 save data will carry over to the PS5 Director’s Cut.  You can also upgrade any PS4 copy for around $10 to gain access to the Digital Deluxe Edition Upgrade of the Death Stranding Director’s Cut for PS5.
