Fans have been patiently waiting for an update on the game God of War: Ragnarök. The sequel to the superb game of 2018 is worth the wait. Sony has posted the first gameplay trailer of Santa Monica Studio’s new God of War game during the latest PS5 showcase.
The trailer is mesmerizing where the fans of 2018 can build a connection between the first part and the upcoming sequel. The upcoming game has been directed by Eric Williams instead of Cary Balrog this time. With no release date, the game will be available on Sony PS4 and PS5 in the year 2022.
Talking about the characters, Many characters will make a comeback in the upcoming sequel. Atreus and Kratos will return, wandering near the vast Lake of Nines in the snow. The chilling winds of Fimbulwinter will come to Midgard. Atreus will still stay puzzled and looking for answers after the big reveal in the previous game.

New attack abilities have been added to the game. The trailer has shown a glimpse of the legendary weapons of Kratos and the new Runic summon for Atreus.

The story speaks about the agony and vengeance of the two main characters – Freya and Thor. At the end of the previous game, Freya had sworn vengeance after the death of her son Baldur due to the actions of Kratos. If you have forgotten, Freya is very powerful and has the ability to use Vanir magic. She will surely go far and do everything to take revenge on her son’s killer.
