Bose QuietComfort 45 Headphones Launched With Upgraded Features – Better Battery at Lower Cost

Bose launched its QuietComfort 35 II headphones nearly four years ago in 2017. Despite making a stellar debut, the model didn’t perform well. The recently launched QuietComfort 45 retains the hallmarks of its predecessor in terms of reliable controls, comfort, audio quality, and more.

Available in black and white colors, the headphones retain a largely unchanged design with major improvements such as USB-C charging and up to 24 hours of battery life.

Bose claims that it has made improvements to the noise cancellation ability by combining the internal and external microphones with a proprietary digital chip. This setup can detect and silence more mid-range frequencies as soon as you activate the Quiet mode.

The Bose QuietComfort 45 headphone comes with an active noise cancellation feature and is available in two modes – Quiet and Aware. The Quiet feature isolates you from the noises in your vicinity while the Aware feature amplifies ambient noises thereby making you aware of what is actually happening near you.

The new TriPort acoustic architecture beams deeper sounds to each ear cup. These two audio settings can be accessed via onboard controls. A dedicated button has been provided for this setting on the left ear cup.

This can also help in muting the mic during a call. All the core functions such as pairing, power, voice assistance, volume, and play/pause are present on the right side. Just like the previous models, the QC 45 also features physical buttons rather than touch controls.

The equalizer on this headphone model has been volume optimized so that elements such as bass remain constant across different volume levels. Users can tweak the sound as per their liking via the Bose Music app available on iOS and Android.

The design has also retained the physical controls for music and power from its predecessor and comes with Bluetooth 5.1 with a multipoint connection as well as the legacy 3.5mm audio jack. A full charge takes 2.5 hours while a quick top-up of 15 minutes ensures that you can play music for three hours seamlessly.

While the company has made major changes to the features, it has still retained the aesthetics of the QuietComfort line in QC 45. The design elements are identifiable classic and some gaps have been closed for creating smooth transitions.

The model is light and cozy and this in no way alters the high-regarded status of the series. The QC 45 folds flat for ear storage thanks to the hinged headband and rotating ear cups.

Bose has also done an incredible job in extending the battery life of QuietComfort 45. The company claims that the users can expect 24 hours of listening time on a charge. Currently, the retail price of these headphones has been set at $329 and the pre-orders are expected to ship on September 23.
